Positive Data and the flood of money drive the optimism and will bring another record year with more than € 50bn invested. And the positive outlook is very likely to continue into the next year. As a consequence, the shortage of quality assets is likely to increase further, lower yields are acceptable thanks to low financing costs and investors are moving up the risk curve. Not out of choice but a lack of alternatives.
Alternative sectors, non-core assets and locations and an abundance of financing alternatives have become part of the modern day investor’s toolkit. At the same time, technology is massively changing the industry, promising more competition, jobs and totally new business opportunities.
