INREV German Vehicles Index returns 4.89%, above 5-year average

INREV has just released the results of its German Vehicles Annual Index, which shows that the index returned 4.89% in 2019, up from the 4.30% seen in 2018 and well above the 5-year average of 3.88%.

The German Vehicles Annual Index Net Asset Value (NAV) measures the performance of non-listed real estate vehicles domiciled in Germany on an annual basis.

Total returns for Spezialfonds continued to accelerate, reaching 8.39% in 2019, pushing past  ist previous record, and outperforming Publikumsfonds for the eighth year in succession. Publikumsfonds total returns also marked an improvement from 2.14% in 2018 up to 2.85% in 2019.

Vehicles targeting Germany-only remained the best performers for the tenth consecutive year, recording 9.84% in 2019, albeit a moderate slowdown.

The German Vehicles Annual Index Net Asset Value (NAV) measures the performance of non-listed real estate vehicles domiciled in Germany on an annual basis.

Performance is measured net of fees and other costs, and represents the aggregate investor return. This index release includes 210 vehicles (196 funds, 13 separate accounts and 1 club deal) and represents total gross asset value (GAV) of €167.6 billion as at the end of 2019.
