The REFIRE Intelligence Report was launched in 2005 to provide high-calibre reporting andanalysis on the German market for real estate finance. Since its beginning, REFIRE has continued to focus on the German market, reporting on the key investment deals and the players behind them, while all the time keeping a watching brief on the development of the German market, as Germany moves closer to overtaking the UK as a destination for foreign real estate investment capital in Europe.
REFIRE’s constituency of core readers have come to see us as a reliable and informative source of insider reporting on the key German market. In addition to our ability to talk directly to key participants at the highest levels of the German real estate industry about the details of significant transactions – and to share that knowledge with our readers – REFIRE has established a firm position as the leading ‘storyteller’ of the unfolding hazards and opportunities for institutional real estate investors in this crucial European market.
The leading German property developers, fund managers, listed property companies, asset managers, property brokers and other service providers have come to see REFIRE as a bridgehead to global institutional capital – and particularly to the London market for capital, where many pan-European institutional investors reside.
For this reason, prompted by a number of requests from leading German companies, REFIRE is hosting its first conference in London later this year, focused on the theme of “Investing in German Real Estate”.
The one-day REFIRE Conference will take place on November 12th 2013, and the venue is the magnificent Glaziers Hall, overlooking the Thames at London Bridge.
REFIRE expects an audience of 170-200 guests from the London investment community, all keen to meet with and listen to a roster of highly-qualified speakers and representatives of leading German companies discussing a range of issues relevant to investing in Germany.
Given the specialist nature of REFIRE’s readership, which we know to be already well-grounded in the larger macro-economic picture, the emphasis of all talks and presentations throughout the day will be on close-up, hands-on, practical solutions to a real-life approach to investing in Germany.
REFIRE’s job will be to create a stimulating speaking and questioning environment for all participants, and our goal is to provide as much opportunity for quality contact and personal introduction as possible. We want all participants to leave the event with dozens of fresh new connections, a deeper understanding of the key issues they face in Germany, and plenty of new options for improving their future business prospects.
Among the key issues we will be addressing on the day in a series of speaker presentations and open discussions will be the following:
• The new government and its likely impact on the German real estate industry
• Opportunities in the distressed real estate debt sector
• Direct versus indirect investing
• Alternative sources of financing for German real estate
• Energy, Sustainability, Legislation
• Separate focus on key sectors: Office, Retail, Residential, Logistics and other
commercial, including niche sectors
The full agenda will shortly be available to view on the REFIRE website.
Further details on the sponsorship package are currently being reviewed. However, at the moment REFIRE envisages a primary category of sponsorship including 10 lead (platinum) sponsors, each among the leaders in their particular field in Germany, to spearhead the event.
The select group of platinum sponsors will be entitled to a fully comprehensive package which we'll be happy to discuss directly with interested parties. For details of prices, additional benefits, etc, please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
REFIRE expects that the level of interest among potential London delegates forthis event will be considerable. Our target is to help open up new paths of communication and business partnerships between international institutional investors and German real estate service providers. This inaugural REFIRE event is designed to specifically promote that goal.
Potential sponsors should therefore contact us as soon as possible to discuss your needs and how we can - together - make this a memorable event.•
