Stuart Reid, former European Director, Germany, was promoted to the position of Partner in April 2007. He joined Rockspring in June 2000 as Head of the Project Group. He opened the Branch Office for Rockspring in Berlin later that year and is responsible for all transactions and asset management throughout Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Stuart was instrumental in setting up the Rockspring German Retail Box Fund and expanding the German and Swiss AUM to in excess of Euro 1 billion.
After graduating from Cambridge University in 1984, Stuart joined Debenham Tewson and Chinnocks. On qualification as a Chartered Surveyor in 1986 he moved to Weatherall Green and Smith, working in London and then as their sole representative in Tokyo, Japan from 1988-1990. In 1991 he established their Berlin office following the fall of the wall and reunification and was made a partner in the firm in 1994. In 1996 Stuart moved to THI as Managing Director and was active in a number of developments across Europe.
